Academic Integrity
Academic Integrity is avoiding plagiarism and cheating. Give other writers some credit for why they have done. Do your own work. You were smart enough to get into college, so you should be smart enough to have your own ideas! :)

Campus Resources
At the moment, I use D2L a lot. I have some friends who this is their first time going to Austin Peay, and they never get on D2L. I feel that this is the most important resource here at APSU. The teachers email you things, your assignments are posted on here, some professors have you do quizzes, and they also post information that pertains to your class discussion. Later in the semester students start to see their grades as well. In some way D2L is a life savor.
Later I know I will be using the library for a resource. I will be using the program Austin to help myself find articles that are needed for class. I know I will be doing a career essay soon, so Austin will probably become my best friend! ;)

what skills do college students need to have to find academic success?
College students are mostly well rounded. We have to have various skills to help us continue with our academics. Time management is very important. College isn't like high school. When something is due on a specific date, it must be done. There is NO accepted late work and no excuses for the late work. You have to get yourself in a routine to remember what you need to have done on a specific day. Whether you write it down in a calendar or set a reminder on your cell phone, having work on time is important. Being to class on time falls under the time management category as well. Wake up and GO TO CLASS!!
Most college students are pretty smart. Some are smarter than others. College students need these "smarts." If you feel like you are struggling, there is ALWAYS help around. College campuses offer many tutoring opportunities especially in core classes like Math, Science, and History. There are computer labs everywhere on campus where you can research the web to help you understand things in your class also.
One more thing a college student needs to be is.... Technology friendly! The world is advancing big in technology and college campuses take advantage in it widely. Most things that professors need you to do are found online. You have to know how to research using the web, write papers using a computer, and check email to know why is going on. Teachers use so much technology in the classroom it is almost crazy. Sometimes this technology allows the teacher to explain things much better than if they would have to read from the old "textbook."

Dictionary term college student means a student enrolled in a college or university, but there is more to a college student than going to college. College students are involved with the community. We have organizations, clubs, and attend many events. We have lives outside of the class room. Some live outside of campus, like myself. Most college students are between the ages of 18 and 22, but there are those students who waited later in life to go to college, maybe at the age of 30 or 40. We all have to go to class, work, and remember to do homework everyday! We are all people, and we love to have fun!
